How is Counterpick Labs monetized? What are peanuts and bananas?
Peanuts are earned from playing quickplay matches and completing daily/weekly tasks, and can be used to unlock gear pieces (primaries, secondaries, suits, and gadgets), certain cosmetics, and color palettes for your gear.
Bananas are a premium currency primarily used to unlock cosmetics. As an alternative to unlocking gear pieces with peanuts, bananas can also be used to purchase the Gear Pack, which permanently unlocks all current and future gear pieces.
Why is my fps low?
Counterpick Labs is designed to run smoothly even on lower-end hardware. If you're unable to maintain a steady 60 fps, try the following:
Try enabling some of the in-game graphics settings designed to improve performance. From the main menu go to settings > graphics.
For the web version of the game: Try a different browser, and make sure hardware acceleration is enabled by going to Settings -> System and turning on "User hardware acceleration when available".
If none of the above help, feel free to drop by the Discord and post in the #troubleshooting channel.
Why isn't my controller working? How can I play on a Gamecube/Switch Pro/etc controller?
If you're under a strict NAT (common for school/campus internet), your connection will have to be routed through an intermediary server in order to allow you to play online. This will result in high ping and jitter.
Play on a wired (ethernet) connection if possible. Even high-speed wifi typically suffers from consistency issues, leading to ping spikes and lag.
Do not use a VPN unless absolutely necessary. Using a VPN will always result in worse connections.
Even if your connection is set up properly, you may still experience lag when playing against an opponent with a poor connection.
How do I send feedback, request a feature, or report a bug?
